CHIROPRACTIC:

  • Chiropractic care is a natural approach to maintaining your body’s well-being.

  • Chiropractors specialize in treatment of musculoskeletal conditions such as neck, back, shoulder, arm, leg, knee, ankle and foot pain.

  • Chiropractors are highly skilled in the hands-on art of spinal adjustment. Often joints become fixated and do not move properly. The purpose of chiropractic adjustments is to help restore a more normal position or motion.  This often relieves the mild to severe pain you may be feeling.  Chiropractic treatments offer you hands-on, effective treatment of soft tissues of the body for the purpose of relieving pain, promoting healing and relieving stress.

ACUPUNCTURE:

  • Acupuncture is based on the belief that disease is caused by imbalances in Qi(Chee), or life energy, which travels the body through a series of meridians or pathways. Needles are placed into the skin at these points, correcting the flow as Qi and restoring health.

  • Acupuncture is a tool for a wide variety of ailments, including the treatment of headaches, low back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, knee problems and many other neuromuscular conditions

Is Acupuncture Painful?

      • Most people describe the sensation of acupuncture as a dull heaviness or slight sensation, but not painful.

How Many Treatments Are Usual?

      • The number of treatments will depend on the specific problem of the patient.

      • A trial therapy is usually about 10 treatments, after which the patient is reassessed.

PHYSICAL REHABILITATION:

  • Rehabilitation involves the development of specialized and supervised exercise programs to help patients restore their ability to perform their daily activities at work and at home.

  • Programs are individualized for each patient.  Since each patient has different needs, no two programs are identical.

  • Rehabilitative exercise is proven to be very effective in conjunction with other therapies.  The treatment offered to you by your physician will help with your condition.  Patients can also have a great effect on their health by taking the responsibility to undertake a rehabilitation program.

  • Program hours are arranged to accommodate patients who are not at work as well as for those who are still working.

  • If you have injuries from a car accident, sports or work, find out more about how our rehabilitation programs can help you.

INSURANCE COVERAGE:

  • Many extended health care plans provide coverage for Acupuncture, Chiropractic and Rehabilitation programs.  Consult your Extended Health plan/policy for details.

  • Our clinic provides direct billing for all Auto Insurance companies, Worker Compensation Board and most Work (Extended Health plans) insurances.
